Puck Fire TTR15P May Be the Coolest Thing Made in Iowa
With more than 200,000 Iowans working in the manufacturing industry, Iowa has a strong backbone of products created here. To celebrate Iowa’s manufacturing, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry (ABI) and MidWest One Bank have created the annual Coolest Thing Made in Iowa competition. This competition is a way to highlight some of the most interesting products produced in our state.
Founded in Manning, Iowa more than 45 years ago, Puck has been manufacturing hose carts for 20 years. Utilizing our manufacturing experience across liquid transfer industries, the Puck Fire TTR15P has been nominated for the Coolest Thing Made in Iowa. Designed to relieve some of the exhaustive hose flaking work of firefighting, the turn table hose reel makes deploying and rolling hose easier, safer, and more efficient.
Puck Fire’s hydraulic hose cart features our patented Arch Guard and domed reel ends. These keep large diameter hose on the reel and prevent it from twisting or kinking. The TTR15P provides rural and nontraditional fire scenes with a water supply line quickly with a reel speed of 2.5 MPH to hold up to 2,500 feet of 8” hose. Transport is easy on twin axles with an A-frame chassis. The TTR15P is ready to be deployed and get hose laid at the fire scene at a moment’s notice.
Puck is excited to be participating in the Coolest Thing Made in Iowa competition. Voting for the competition begins April 29th, and you can vote to push Puck’s TTR15P into the Top 16. You can vote once per day per device until May 7th. The Top 16 will be announced on June 11. Follow us on social media for the latest updates on the TTR15P’s standing in the competition.
