Mitigating Risk With LightSpeed
With more than 45 years in the liquid transfer industry, Puck knows balancing multiple pumps on a line can be a challenge. This obstacle led to the innovative pump control system technology of LightSpeed. Designed in-house by our expert team, this software puts complete control and diagnostics of your entire operation at your fingertips. Accessible from any connected, web-enabled device, LightSpeed provides operators with automated pump control, in-depth monitoring and diagnostics with instant pump response. These features can help to reduce risk to keep your crew, your equipment, and the environment safe.
Accessible from Anywhere
Control your liquid transfer line from anywhere with real time pump controls, accessible from any device with an internet connection. Whether it’s from the tablet in the tractor cab or your cell phone back at the site, LightSpeed helps you remedy situations as they arise. LightSpeed’s 99% uptime guarantee enables users to be proactive with their pumping operation, rather than reactive. Operate your entire pump system from a single screen with an additional level of safety and control for your pumps, engines, and gates. Live numbers, instant control, constant monitoring, site mapping, and detailed diagnostics are all in one place, with a user-friendly design.
Preset Pressures for Safe Use
Pressure regulation with LightSpeed is an easy step to improve safety on your pump line. Auto-throttle allows the unit to regulate pressure, with preset inlet and outlet pressures helping maintain safe operating levels. This protects your pump from cavitation and maximizes flow rates. Puck pumps will automatically throttle up and down based on user-defined inlet and outlet variables. When pressures rise or fall outside of the presets due to a line break or other issues, LightSpeed automatically throttles the engine down and closes gates to contain liquid. If something happens to the line, LightSpeed shuts down the pump before the issue is even communicated or someone reaches the pump.
LightSpeed technology also controls the feeder pump, like those found on a Lagoon Feeder or Force Feed pump unit. The software automatically adjusts feeder pump speed to maintain constant pressure to the primary pump. This results in a smoother operation and a safer, more efficient pumping job. These near real-time adjustments via automation add an additional layer of safety to your operation without adding more people.
Hardware
If you’re working in an area without internet, the LightSpeed hardware panel can still add safety to your operation. Standard equipped on all Puck pump units, LightSpeed’s hardware responds to line breaks automatically. It also displays engine alerts while keeping a record of all warnings. With LightSpeed, you’re able to check in on the status of each fuse, relay, and sensor, along with the power being used by each output. This detailed information allows you to spot and address issues as they occur and makes it easier to service your pump.
Detailed Diagnostics
No other program matches LightSpeed’s in-depth pump diagnostics and insight. Check the power being used by each output, as well as the status of each fuse, relay, and sensor. LightSpeed records the hours from when the engine oil, air filter, hydraulic filter pump gearbox, and other parts were last changed, so you can keep tabs on when service is needed. Engine warnings are displayed on all screens and logged, so you have a detailed pump history right at your fingertips. With optional service notifications, the maintenance records and equipment diagnostics ensure your equipment is working properly and safely at all times.
Today, the LightSpeed operating platform is the most reliable and intuitive pump control system on the market. Since we do it all in-house, we’re able to tailor our software to meet new changes and challenges in markets that depend on LightSpeed to control their operation. Whether you are working in manure application or other fluid delivery industries, LightSpeed brings you automated pump control.
