Eric Schreck | Watching Fabrication Grow

When Eric Schreck graduated from Tulsa Welding School in 2011, a hog farmer told him about an up-and-coming manufacturing company. Eric came to Manning to check out Puck and landed himself a position in their newly opened building. Puck had just made the transition from the red barn to the new building, which today holds the Pump School Training Center and the equipment showroom. The expansion for Puck’s workspace has only continued through the years. “That building was big for where I came from. Since then, we’ve added on roughly five times that,” said Eric.

A few of Eric’s most memorable first assignments welding for Puck included the sixth Agitation Boat produced, the first PB3 chassis, and the very first TTR 20. Since that first turn table reel, Puck has built more than 450 TTR 20s for our growing customer base. Working on equipment that is the first of its kind can be a challenge. Using the equipment firsthand was a quick and easy way to understand the industry. “When I first started at Puck, everyone went out pumping in the spring and fall,” said Eric. “When I went out it was really great to see how all the equipment works. Now in the fabrication world I can really understand and grasp what the main concept behind what we build is.”

Today, Eric is the Fabrication Supervisor at Puck's Manning location. Despite working here for 13 years, Eric is still looking forward to working on new equipment. “Wheat I’m really excited for here at Puck is just the next thing, honestly,” said Eric. “That’s the beauty of it, in my mind, is you really never know what is coming.” With the recent launch of Puck Fire and the ever-growing product lineup for agricultural equipment, there is always something new on the line. The mystery of what innovation is next can be exciting, but Eric trusts those who are moving Puck in the right direction. “There’s a bit of reassurance knowing that someone always has that in the back of their head, that we’re growing, we’re innovating. We’re investing time and money into things we need to. It’s a pretty proud thing for me to see and experience.”

Puck and our Family of Brands are always looking to add team members who share our vision and are dedicated to their craft. You can see more of Eric in his video on our Facebook page.
