Curt Stolt | National Welding Month
Since 1996, April has been designated as National Welding Month to bring awareness to the career of welding and its career paths. We checked in with some Puck welders during National Welding Month to see what they had to say about the job.
For Curt Stolt, his coworkers are part of the appeal of a career at Puck. "I like working here 'cause the guys are great," said Curt. “We do a really good job of communicating with the engineering department, making sure that we get the weld wire that we need.” Cross-department collaboration is common at Puck in order to optimize the use of our production capabilities.
Each day is different for welders depending on what pre-assembled kits have been assigned to them. The fabrication department welds these equipment part kits together. Curt said that the “best part about this place is working on something different every day. Right now I’m doing the rear section of a Boom Truck, tomorrow I could be doing a Force Feed.” With more than a dozen unique product builds, Puck welders can look forward to a new task each day.
