Puck Launches BullDog Hose Company
Puck Custom Enterprises, a leading manufacturer of manure application equipment, has completed an asset purchase from Angus Fire of the U.S. hose manufacturing plant, equipment and product lines based in Angier, North Carolina, and will operate it as BullDog Hose Company. This move is a natural progression for Puck, which has built a reputation on providing high quality products and incorporating innovative liquid transfer technology in its application and fluid delivery products.
BullDog Hose Company launches with an already-strong presence in the fire industry, in addition to producing hose for industrial, municipal and agricultural applications. Building on the 40-year history of the Angier hose manufacturing facility in the United States, BullDog will continue to manufacture all its hose products in Angier, North Carolina.
Although the company name is changing, product lines such as the Hi-Combat attack hose, and the Hi-Vol and Armour Guard supply hoses will transfer unaltered to the new BullDog Hose Company identity, ensuring a smooth transition for current customers. The hoses are notable for their long service life, made possible with a durable coating and nitrile rubber cover.
The BullDog Hose Company name ties the business to PCE's Manning roots as well as to Angier, North Carolina, incorporating both towns' former school mascot. The new identity has a similar goal, showing a tough, modernized bulldog that reflects the towns' resilient spirit as well as the powerful capabilities of BullDog hose products. The new mark also nods to the company's patriotic core, demonstrated in its commitment to United States-made products.
"We are excited to bring our manufacturing expertise and commitment to creating quality, innovative products to the hose business," said Jeremy Puck, General Manager of Puck Custom Enterprises. "BullDog Hose Company is looking forward to building on the foundation of what Angier has built, while continuing to serve its loyal customers throughout the country. This will allow us to change the game in the hose business, especially in agriculture, and the opportunity would not have been possible without all our great customers, employees and supporters."
BullDog will reaffirm its commitment to the fire industry this spring, showcasing its products at the 2018 Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) from April 23–28 in Indianapolis. The company will set up in booths 9406–9408 inside Lucas Oil Stadium to meet with existing customers and introduce the brand to potential partners.
BullDog will also launch its new agriculture product lines at the World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa on June 6–8 at the PCE booth outside the Varied Industries building.
"I am looking forward to helping this business grow and meeting with fire industry professionals at FDIC," said Jeff Benker, BullDog Hose Company's southeast regional sales manager. "This company has a strong history, and under the leadership of the Puck team, I know we'll continue to grow and innovate in everything we do."
