Ideal for use in quick deployment of hose without rolling or twisting, the Storz x Rocker Lug Swivel Female Thread is hard anodized and powder coated for corrosion resistance and protection.
A swivel fitting is a hose connection that allows the hose to spin or swivel without twisting on the end of the hose. This stops the hose from kinking when in use and helps to unkink it when you first walk out the hose. The Storz x Rocker Lug Swivel features raised ridges to allow for better grip when connecting or disconnecting couplings. Made from custom manufactured, aircraft grade 6061-T6 seamless, aluminum extrusions, this fitting uses an National Hose Thread (NH) thread type. The female thread diameter ranges from 2.5” to 8” and the Storz diameter ranges from 4” to 12”.
Flanges are manufactured to ANSI B16.5 or DIN 2501 specifications from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy. Flanges are offered as either flat faced or raised face. The Storz connection is attached to the flange via BSP threads and utilizes an O-ring to create a watertight seal.
The Storz Blind Cap is used to close off open hoses, distribution manifolds, or piping systems to prevent leakage on unused connections. Caps include a nylon coated stainless steel cable to secure the cap and prevent accidental misplacement. A optional petcock valve can be supplied to allow for pressure reduction prior to cap removal.
U.S. Coupling manufactures Storz suction hose couplings from 4” to 12”, and NH Threaded suction hose couplings from 2.5” to 8”. This U.S. Coupling Storz coupling is for ridged PVC suction hose.
Upon recognizing a market need for a fitting manufacturer to be responsive to the unique requirements of the equipment builders for large scale industrial firefighting equipment, U.S. Coupling has stepped into the role. Designing, manufacturing, and supplying lay-flat hose fittings and accessories for this specialist niche market with connections up to 12” in diameter.
Storz Couplings are one of the most popular hose coupling when connecting lay flat hoses. The 4-lug version is a specialty coupling used in the Industrial Fire market for large scale firefighting operations. The U.S. Coupling 12” 4 Lug (305mm) Storz couplings consist of 3 primary components: Storz head, head end shank and a segmented collar. With a rated working pressure of 250 psi (17.2 bar), these Storz couplings provide a robust and reliable coupling when moving massive volumes of water.
