Pump School Sessions Include:
Operations and Crew Management
This portion of the class is designed to teach better crew efficiencies, roles, and responsibilities. Safety considerations for manure application operations are discussed in depth. This includes how to safely operate equipment, proper handling techniques for lay-flat hose, how to operate a dragline in the field, the do’s and don’ts of operational procedures, advanced operations of LightSpeed, hose pulling and hose moving techniques and the environmental concerns to be conscious of when pumping.
This upper-level class covers how to properly size the components of your dragline system to fit your individual needs. Where to place pumps for best efficiencies and flow will also be discussed. The session includes learning how to read pump performance curves and how to calculate friction loss in a hose, as well as topography, safety around objects, how to plan in the field, and how the crew works together to operate the system efficiently.
Puck’s experts cover a range of subjects in each Pump School session, bringing decades of industry experience and insight to every part of your operation.
If you’re looking for a one-on-one Pump School course, Puck can tailor a session to your needs — whatever they are. Please call to set up a time to discuss your business goals and how we can help you meet them.
