Puck Enterprises in Farley, IA is looking to hire an Entry Level Service Technician to expand the Puck Enterprises team.

Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of application equipment during pumping season and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of application equipment in the offseason. Also supports company-owned equipment.
  2. Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of application equipment.
  3. Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  4. Interacts with customers and vendors by responding in a timely fashion to questions, concerns, and troubleshooting.
  5. Gathers information and determines the issue by evaluating and analyzing the symptoms; diagnoses and resolves the issue(s).
  6. Researches required information using available resources; and follows standard processes and procedures.
  7. Ensures an issue has been resolved to completion and follows-up with the customer or vendor where necessary to close the loop.
  8. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  9. Comply with OSHA and Puck safety rules.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED diploma, or three to six months’ related experience (in farming, construction, carpentry, or manufacturing) or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Three to six months’ + experience in safely operating agriculture equipment or machines
  • Two year technical degree
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; appropriately route and install hydraulic hoses and electrical wiring and components.
  • Experience with metal working equipment such as welders, torches, saws, drill presses, iron workers, hydraulic presses, or related equipment.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.

Shipping Coordinator

Location: Worthing, SD

  1. Coordinates all outbound and inbound shipments for Worthing, SD.
  2. Works with Sales to ensure timely delivery of goods within the expected timeline.
  3. Identify the best and most cost-effective method of transportation for shipments.
  4. Negotiate shipping rates with our regular shipping companies.
  5. Prepares freight quotes as needed for shipments as needed.
  6. Provides drivers with shipping instructions and routing information.
  7. Maintains tracking on all shipped goods.
  8. Responds to customers or shippers’ questions or concerns related to shipments.
  9. Completes all documentation needed for domestic and international shipments.
  10. Line up back hauls when appropriate for PUCK delivery trucks.
  11. Maintain compliant CDL program for all appropriate State and Federal regulations for drivers, trucks, and business.
  12. Responsible for ensuring trips have all applicable travel permits for PUCK delivered shipments.
Required Education and Experience
  1. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
  1. 1-3 years of experience working in Logistics or warehouse setting.
  2. Excellent communication, organizational skills and attention to detail.
