Essential Functions

  3. Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.  Examines weld for bead size and other specifications
  4. Cleans or degreases weld joint or workpiece.  Repairs broken or cracked parts and fill holes.  Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces
  5. Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from the workpiece.  Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter
  6. Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture

  • Weigh and count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Receive and issue manufactured CNC goods into computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnel.
  • Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights.
  • Prepares requisitions, orders, or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Reviews files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of excess stock.
  • Ensure warehouse is accessible and safe for salespeople and customer traffic.
  • Assist in counting of physical inventory.
  • Assist in the keeping the back-order file in established sequence and releasing back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
  • Set-up for pump school, including to stage all necessary equipment to Puck’s standards.
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other departments.
  • May be assigned facilities and equipment (including fork lifts, doors, scissor lifts, etc.) maintenance duties as needed.
  • Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
  • Sweep, dust and mop. Organize warehouse and work area for orderliness at all times.

About the Position
  • Operate the fabrication shop and machine shop machinery and equipment. Reads blueprints to determining machine adjustments and material requirements.
  • Builds jigs to specific lengths and correct measurements.
  • Welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, or overhead positions.  Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Cleans or degreases weld joint or workpiece.  Repairs broken or cracked parts and fill holes.  Prepares broken parts for welding by grooving or scarfing surfaces.
  • Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust or scale from workpiece.  Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter.
  • Positions and clamps workpieces together or assembles them in jig or fixture.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies or workpieces.
  • Sets up and performs maintenance on fab and machine shop machines and performs burning work.
  • Occasionally, may position workpiece against stops or aligns layout marks with die or blade.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Complies with all OSHA and PCE safety rules.

Qualifications
